Well we finally got out of bed and cleaned up and back to my Tia Lucia’s (My Tia Lucia is my moms sister and was born in Italy) house where we were treated with an amazing lunch of homemade Gnocchi and ribs. So many amazing people around that it’s so hard to write about individuals but I will. Oscar who is married to my cousin Monica is an amazing man! He works in the El Campo (Big Ranch) outside of Buenos Aires. He took time off to make sure we were all settled in and has shown us around the neighborhood. My Cousin Monica works as a professor at a school here and she is so sweet! When I think of her I have such fond memories about how my dad would always talk about his Mona (Monkey) and how much he missed and loved her. She’s such a sweet personal. Oscar and Monica have 3 children Javier, Matias, Diego all amazing young men with such kindness and hospitality. Javier has a pet Capybara that he’s named Pepa and its better than a dog. Karyn wants her own to bring back to the island with her,. Diego has a young son named Santiago who is such a sweet little kid. We gave Santiago a Nintendo switch yesterday and he almost broke down and cried because of it. Karyn wants to take him home to live with us and well his grandma (Monica) kept telling him its cold and that he would miss everyone but Santiago kept sayings that ok I’ll get used to it. Matias works with his dad in El Campo but he had a motorcycle accident and needs surgery on his knee as he tore 3 ligaments so he can’t currently work. Monica and Oscar took us yesterday to go get Cell Plans in a district called Moron (Which I believe translates to Brown). It’s a big shopping district in Buenos Aires and wow the amount of people there were crazy!!! This isn’t even the downtown core yet. We got back to my Tia Lucias house and had homemade pizza and empanadas again. It’s so amazing to see how much love in the family and how close everyone is. They all meet up on Sundays for dinner still. We ended up getting home at about 1 am this morning and off to bed it was a great day. Tomorrow we are being treated to a traditional Asado put on by Oscar with meat from the Campo he works at!
